ABOUT THE ARTIST  Keller A. Jones has been painting for over thirty years and has developed an extensive clientele throughout the southeast. She is from Augusta, Georgia and possesses a curriculum vitae reflecting her commitment to art in many media and the liberal arts in general. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Georgia in graphic design, with a concentration in illustration. She also holds two Masters degrees, one in Liberal Arts from Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama and the second from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Cinema Studies. She is a member of the most prestigious American portrait society, the Portrait Society of America. Keller spent time in Cortona, Italy studying Italian Renaissance painting and sculpture. She has been selected as exhibiting artist in numerous galleries throughout the southeast, and has been included in southeastern publications for her artwork. She is pleased to provide references of collectors and clients upon request. Keller works primarily in oil for her portraiture; however, she is proficient in pastels, as well, for a more youthful and modern effect. Primarily a portrait artist, she also enjoys painting local landscapes, and loves painting animal portraiture as well. She is a painting instructor and educator, and quite competent at guiding the client toward the best medium and style for their portrait. Keller’s work is known for a powerful composition with a sensitively detailed life-likeness of the subject. All questions are welcomed and a visit to the artist’s studio is also welcomed. ABOUT THE WORK The process of commissioning a portrait is quite exciting. The client and artist meet together and view the artist’s portfolio. When the client decides that he/she wants to proceed with the work, the process is simple and enjoyable. The artist photographs the majority of her clients, selects the best five or six images and presents them to the client in a suggested composition. When the artist is finished with the painting, the clients come in for a viewing where any minor details are corrected with the intuitive eye of the client. It’s a very thrilling process to see your loved one come alive on canvas. Ms. Jones paints children, adults, pets, as well as horses. Please consult the artist for a current price schedule. |
