Welcome to The Landings Art Association!

Founded in 1987, the Landings Art Association is one of the largest and most diverse community art associations in the country. We are a 250+ member group with a wide range of experience and expertise, from beginners and those reacquainting themselves with their artistic talents, to award-winning professionals. The LAA serves the artistic community through a series of wide-ranging programs, both formal and informal for the education, information and enjoyment of members and guests. In addition, the organization provides many opportunities for display of the artistic efforts of members in a wide variety of venues. Membership is informative, collaborative and fun! All artists and art lovers are welcome! The Landings, a community with over 8500 residents, is located on Skidaway Island, just 12 miles south of Historic Savannah, Georgia!

Call for Entries for the Spring Art Show


LAA 2010 Spring Art Show at Merrill Lynch opening gala reception will be Thursday, April 15th. Now is the time to start planning your entry, one per LAA member in the medium of your choice. This is a judged show with prizes, including a “Peoples Choice” award!The judging of the show will be done by: Henry Dean and Marge Rich. Henry Dean currently teaches drawing as a professor in the School of Foundations Studies at the Savannah College of Art and Design and Marge Rich has been included in exhibitions and collections throughout the U.S. and France and works in Savannah. Both received their MFA at SCAD.


All artwork must be presentation ready. 2 dimensional work must be properly framed or, if an unframed wrapped canvas is used, the edges must be either painted or covered. All 2D work must be ready to hang with wire as drapery hooks are used to hang framed work on the screens. Artwork does NOT need to be for sale.

Artwork delivery day is Saturday, April 10th, 11am to 1pm. Artists must sign a waiver, pay a small entry fee, provide necessary Information, and pick up tickets for the gala. Artwork pickup day is Friday, April 23rd, 8am to 11am. Plan to invite your patrons and friends to the gala – we want the best turnout ever!

Publicity for this event is already in the works. Artists can help by inviting their clients to the gala or to the show after the gala. Friday, April 16 to Thursday, April 22 (except Sunday), the show is open to the public, 10am to 4pm each day.

In addition to preparing a fabulous piece of art for this show, your time and talent is also needed to make this show successful.
