Carolyne Graham

About the Artist:

Carolyne combines the medium of clay with her love of painting as her visual statement. Her expressive work views the natural world and its beauty sprinkled with a touch of whimsy. For the last few years, she has focused on the vessel as a relief visage to tell her tales in colorful glazes and forms. Fanciful flora and fauna of the low-country most often represent her clay giftware, signed with her trade name “Caro”.

Carolyne Graham is a native and resident of Savannah, Ga. Art studies were at the University of Georgia, Savannah College of Art and Design and Armstrong Atlantic State University. She maintains a current teacher’s certification in art education and offers lessons in her studio, Savannah Art & Clay Creations. She regularly attends workshops to update her knowledge on clay, glazes, raku, drawing and painting. Her work can be seen at Gallery Eleven of Franklin Ward South in City Market, Savannah.

Philosophy: “Serious art springs from serious play” is one of my favorite sayings. I have come to the awareness that my art flows from a soft place in my heart that yearns to explore the majesty of the human soul with our need for a playful spirit. My quest is the search for methods and materials to feed this desire.

Carolyne welcomes students and commissions.
